The documentation, dating back to 1935-1936, was collected by Edoardo Aprile (Rome 1905 – 1969), an electrical technician working on the construction of the italian air force base near Assab, Ethiopia. It consists of an album with 142 black and white pictures, an envelope containing 8 black and white pictures, an envelope containing a handwritten journal (15th December 1935-1st July 1936), and a handwritten note. His grandson, Gianluca Aprile, is the current owner of the collection.
